Duration & Type: 12 months Contract with a global financial institute

Location: Montreal, Canada

No. of Positions: 2

Description: Need 2 developers with full-stack java experience, one with a strong back-end development experience and another with a strong front-end (angular js) development experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, or update applications used by business units or infrastructure units.
• Work with technical staff and business managers to determine systems requirements and functionalities.
• Participate in or review all of the steps in the software development lifecycle to create and modify the software.
• Assess and develop high-level design requirements for changes to the application and communicate in writing or in meetings with the development and business team.
• Review changes made to the code to advance application upgrade, extension, or other development. Analyze application for data integrity issues.

Required:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
• 8 years of hands-on software development (full SDLC) experience required
• 6 years of experience with Java, J2EE, MQ, JBoss, JMS, web services (REST & SOAP) and front end development (JavaScript/jQuery/AngularJS)
• Agile methodology project experience preferred
• Experience with code coverage tools such as CAST/Fortify
• Exposure to CICD continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Test Automation and build tools such as Maven or Ant
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
