Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high‑performing culture. The Portfolio Optimization team under Enterprise Architecture drives the Bank’s global technology strategy by partnering closely with senior executives, business leaders, and cross‑functional teams. This individual (Sr. Manager level) will lead discussions around the creation and maintenance of Portfolio Roadmaps, to illustrate how technology initiatives, applications, and capabilities will evolve to support both business and technology strategies. The purpose of a roadmap is to align key strategic technology investments to business objectives and improve transparency of technology spend.

This role requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills to align complex technology initiatives with business goals and deliver enterprise‑wide impact. This role offers significant exposure, including close collaboration with senior executives, business line leaders, and cross‑functional teams. The incumbent will be instrumental in the Portfolio Optimization work.

In this role, you will:
  • Strategy Development
    • Work with technology teams to understand current state gaps, future state capabilities needed, and industry landscape.
    • Lead the prioritization, development, and ongoing update of portfolio roadmaps to address current state gaps and ensure alignment with business needs/the enterprise vision (annual and ad‑hoc updates).
  • Transformational Leader
    • Investigate and improve processes related to roadmap execution (e.g., decommission process, TCO measurement, benefits realization, etc.).
    • Lead roadmap workstreams, including leading problem‑solving sessions, workshops, and interviews with cross‑functional and business line working team members and subject‑matter experts.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Present and communicate with Chief Architects, engineering heads and other senior leaders to gather feedback, report progress and ensure the Portfolio Roadmaps are delivered on time/deliver value.
    • Work closely with non‑technology teams including business lines, HR, Finance and Risk to ensure technology initiatives are meeting business needs and are integrated within the bank effectively.
  • People Leadership
    • Share knowledge and collaborate with others within the team and with other teams across the Bank to ensure effective delivery of projects.
    • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
    • Champion a high‑performance environment, and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
  • A strong ability to build relationships, engage and influence stakeholders at different levels across the Bank, partners, and external vendors.
  • The ability to challenge ideas respectfully and constructively, bringing a consultant‑like mindset.
  • A track record of identifying and eliminating duplication, optimizing cost and performance, and aligning platforms with enterprise strategy.
  • Self‑motivation; to work both independently and collaboratively with multi‑functional teams.
  • Exceptional planning and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • 5‑7 years of experience in project leadership, management consulting, corporate strategy, or technology/architecture.
  • An undergraduate degree in business or engineering; graduate business degree/MBA is a strong asset.
