Who we're looking for:

Rogers is seeking a seasoned individual contributor Cloud Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in AWS to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to shape infrastructure strategies that align with Rogers’ standards and cloud architecture design patterns.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to assess functional & technical requirements to design an infrastructure solution that meets Rogers’ Standards and Cloud Architecture Design Patterns
• Validate proposed solutions addresses concerns including scalability, resiliency, security, and compliance
• Review deployed solutions to ensure cloud services are used for their intended use cases
• Document solutions in architectural diagrams from relevant viewpoints (functionality, data flow, security, infrastructure resources, and networking)
• Assess enterprise needs and common use cases to create new Cloud Architecture Design Patterns
• Assessing Public Cloud services to define standards, best practices, and acceptable use cases

What you bring

• 5 years of AWS Architecture and Engineering hands on experience.
• Previous years prior experience in a senior technical role, demonstrating the technical design and practical implementation of complex infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment
• Experience designing, building, and supporting AWS Public Cloud Platforms (experience in Azure or GCP would be an additional asset)
• Networking skillsets (routing, security, DNS) in a hybrid- and multi-cloud environment is highly desirable
• Proven experience in defining design standards and enterprise grade patterns in Public Cloud Platforms
• Knowledge of and practical experience in using AWS best practices and standards (knowledge of Azure and GCP best practices an additional asset)
• Practical experience in implementing AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Telecommunications industry experience is an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively and host presentations for Directors and Executives
• Experience with DevOps and/or SRE is an asset
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Terraform and Git an asset
