Financial Services is part of a vibrant and expanding campus where diversity fuels innovation. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Accounting and Special Projects, the incumbent leverages data analytics to build trends and create data dashboards that drive strategic decision-making. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather insights and present findings that enhance business performance, with a focus on financial reporting and business analysis.
The incumbent will play a leadership role in driving the development and continuous improvement of financial reporting and analysis processes. The individual will coordinate efforts across teams, introduce innovative reporting solutions, and serve as a key resource in guiding the strategic use of financial data. This includes mentoring colleagues, championing best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, actionable insights that support institutional goals. The incumbent also plays a key role in shaping workforce and financial strategies that directly inform institutional priorities, including staffing levels and resource allocations.
This role involves analyzing financial data to support critical decision-making processes within the organization and to provide financial advice and expertise to meet a diverse range of financial management, operational and strategic activities. The individual will design and create professional financial reports, dashboards and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, utilizing data visualization tools to present complex financial information in a clear and accessible format. This position will also research and evaluate reporting software options to optimize reporting capabilities and streamline data visualization processes.
The incumbent will lead a variety of projects on behalf of the Assistant Director and provide oversight from the establishment of the project goals, the work plan, to follow through and execution. They will advise and provide effective recommendations to senior administrative leaders on strategic resource allocations, identify synergies and overall effective use of resources. The individual will undertake research on a wide variety of issues and topics, follow through on decisions made by the senior management team and/or the Senior Director, Financial Services.
Responsibilities of this position will continue to evolve, and the individual must be adaptable in order to respond to the constantly changing priorities of different projects. The individual in this role must work collaboratively and cooperatively with both internal university and external stakeholders.
