A regional health authority is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse for the Obstetrics department at St. John Hospital. This role includes patient assessment and care within a dedicated team. Candidates must be registered with the BC College of Nurses and have relevant advanced training. This opportunity offers support for education and training with a requirement for an eighteen-month return of service upon completion.

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Obstetrics department at St. John Hospital. Reporting to the Manager, Maternal Child Services, the staff nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care and nursing practice activities within the frame work of quality management and in accordance with the UHNBC mission statement. The role is defined by the needs of the Hospital, a select patient/family population, agency expectations and the goals for professional nursing practice.

St. Johns Hospital is a 24 acute-care bed facility. The Hospital serves the communities of Vanderhoof and the Saik'uz First Nation, as well as acting as a referral centre for the surrounding communities of Burns Lake, Fort St. James and Fraser Lake. The services of St John Hospital include:
Lab and diagnostic imaging, including Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy; 24/7 OR offering Orthopedic Day Surgery, Plastics, Dental, ENT, Endoscopy, and General Surgery; Inpatient Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy; Teaching facility for the University of Northern British Columbia.
