A North American airline operator is seeking a SOCC Subject Matter Expert to lead operational control initiatives. This role involves ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout day-of-operations while collaborating with various departments to enhance the efficiency of operational protocols. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in airline operations, a strong grasp of irregular operations management, and the ability to work effectively in a 24/7 environment.
Job Summary
As part of our program to implement an integrated fleet tracking, crew tracking, and airport turn management solution, we are seeking a SOCC Subject Matter Expert (SME) to represent Commercial Operations (SOC) within the initiative.
This role will report into the Business Lead for the program and serve as the key functional lead for operations control across all program phases. The SOCC SME will be instrumental in ensuring that all aspects of the operating day — including delay recovery, cancellations, aircraft swaps, and plan execution — are accurately captured, integrated, and supported by the new systems.
The SOC SME acts as the authoritative voice for day-of-operation coordination, supporting solution design and integration efforts that impact operational control, recovery processes, and communications to internal and external stakeholders.
If you’re passionate about delivering clarity, control, and continuity across the day-of-operations landscape and want to shape the tools and systems that support this mission-critical function, we welcome your expression of interest.
