Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a Quality Assurance Developer to join the team building the Autodesk Libraries Platform—a foundational system that enables consistent, scalable, and user-friendly access to shared content across Autodesk products.

As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of platform components and workflows that support designers, developers, and developers. Your work will directly impact how users discover, organize, and interact with content across desktop, mobile, and web platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated functional and regression tests
  • Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and test coverage for new features
  • Create and maintain user-focused test plans for ongoing development
  • Investigate and triage failed automation tests; log and track issues in the bug tracking system
  • Reproduce and document user-reported issues with clarity and precision
  • Perform end-to-end testing of interactive applications across desktop platforms
  • Identify and document bugs in complex workflows across multiple environments
  • Contribute to short sprint cycles (2–4 weeks) and support the full software development lifecycle
  • Stay current with best practices and tools in test automation and quality engineering
  • Share updates on new testing capabilities and advocate for quality across the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate testing efforts
  • Perform manual black-box testing as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and familiarity with C++ and AWS
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation strategies, and reporting
  • Experience testing complex, interactive applications across desktop, mobile, and web
  • Proven ability to build and maintain test plans for evolving feature sets
  • Curiosity and adaptability to learn new technologies and domains quickly
  • Empathy for users and a strong sense of product ownership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with design or engineering workflows
  • Experience testing content management systems or platform-level services
  • Background in tools or applications that support structured data, search, or visualization
  • Understanding of scalable architecture and cross-platform testing strategies

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $65,200 and $95,590. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
