In addition to our consulting and education programs, we are expanding our digital capabilities through modern software solutions that support compliance, training, data management, and operational efficiency for our clients. We are building tools that simplify complex regulatory environments and help organizations stay compliant with confidence.

To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to guide the development of our internal and client‑facing digital platforms while mentoring a small engineering team and shaping our technical direction.

What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership & Development
  • Lead hands‑on development across our full technology stack.
  • Build and maintain modern JavaScript/TypeScript applications using Vue on the front end and Node‑based backend services.
  • Design and optimize relational database architecture using ORM‑driven modelling.
  • Contribute clean, maintainable, production‑ready code.
DevOps & Infrastructure
  • Manage VPS deployments, server configuration, and production stability.
  • Oversee release cycles, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve system performance.
  • Introduce best practices for monitoring, logging, backups, and version control (Bitbucket).
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Mentor developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and hands‑on support.
  • Work cross‑functionally with design, product, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical plans.
  • Support roadmap planning and provide input on technical feasibility and prioritization.
Product & Innovation
  • Integrate third‑party APIs, including AI/ML services (OpenAI experience is a plus).
  • Contribute to the evolution of new features, tools, and system enhancements aligned with client needs and industry standards.
  • Ensure dependable performance and reliability, especially within regulated healthcare‑related environments.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands‑on engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in full‑stack JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with Vue, Node, and ORM‑based database systems.
  • Ability to design, maintain, and scale relational database architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a development team.
  • Experience managing servers and navigating production issues end‑to‑end.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration and API‑based workflows is an asset.
  • Experience building software for healthcare or compliance environments is a plus (not required).
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong architectural thinking with the ability to get hands‑on.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and comfortable owning both code and infrastructure.
  • Product‑minded, with the ability to translate goals into clear technical execution.
Why Join IPAC Consulting?
  • Opportunity to lead engineering for a growing organization with national reach.
  • Mission‑driven work that supports safety and compliance in healthcare environments.
  • Collaborative culture with room to innovate and influence long‑term technical direction.
  • Competitive salary and benefits, including:
