The Software Engineer II – GIS is an intermediate-level developer responsible for building and enhancing GIS applications that improve situational awareness and operational support for public safety agencies. This role emphasizes hands-on development with Esri toolsets (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Runtime, etc.) and open-source technologies such as PostGIS. The position requires software engineering skills to deliver scalable GIS solutions, contribute to enterprise GIS posture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality GIS services.
This position requires a security clearance from the Government of Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and must successfully obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance. Obtaining and maintaining all required security clearances is a condition of employment.
