Job description

Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto – 2 days/week (subject to change) – Tuesdays & Thursdays. Subject to change: 3–4 days onsite may be required based on business needs. Contract Duration: ASAP to 06/22/2026 – approx. 8 months. Possibility of conversion to FTE. Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week.

Story Behind the Need

Business group: Cloud Engineering – team is responsible for provisioning/engineering database and storage technologies for the Bank, work on Azure, GCP to provision the resources.

Project: Azure DB team - This role is critical to maintaining and optimizing our Azure based cloud database infrastructure, which underpins several production applications.

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience as a developer/engineer
• 3+ years’ Microsoft Azure infrastructure experience
• 3+ years’ experience working with databases (e.g. SQL) at an advanced level (can code and troubleshoot in back end)
• 2+ years’ experience programming in Java

Nice-To-Have Skills

• Experience with GCP
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with CI/CD

Soft Skills Required

• Good communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s in technical field (i.e. computer science, engineering). Microsoft certified is an asset
