What it means to be an Intermediate Software Developer

We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This role sits within an emerging incubator where you’ll help build and iterate on new product ideas from the ground up. You’ll work across multiple early-stage initiatives, partnering closely with leadership to experiment, ship quickly, and lay strong technical foundations—often in areas where AI plays a key role. We’re looking for an intermediate-level developer who can work across mobile and web platforms—someone comfortable building in React Native as well as contributing to web features, backend services, and admin tools. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working across the stack while helping shape fast-moving, early-stage products.

Responsibilities

As an Intermediate Software Developer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Build and enhance mobile features in the Kite app using React Native and Expo.
  • Develop and maintain full-stack web features, including dashboards, content tools, or landing pages.
  • Connect the app and web experiences through Firebase and custom Google Cloud functions.
  • Manage backend integrations, REST APIs, and authentication workflows.
  • Collaborate on UI/UX across mobile and web platforms, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Support deployment workflows using TestFlight, Google Play Console, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor analytics and user feedback to inform iterative improvements.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and help set development best practices.

  • Experience building and deploying web apps and backend APIs.
  • Comfortable with Git/GitHub, modern testing practices, and agile workflow tools.
  • Familiarity with mobile deployment processes and debugging tools.
  • Bonus: interest or experience in mobile connectivity, telecom, or search technology.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.
