This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, and will be a full‑time seasonal role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Delivering exceptional hospitality every day to guests visiting from around the world and being a role model for the team.
- Responsibility for opening and closing duties when the Manager or Supervisor are not present, maintaining consistent coverage across the Skywalk.
- Being an important member of the guiding and hospitality team when Supervisor or Manager are on site, working alongside the other Guides.
- Help the two‑way sharing of information between Supervisors and Guides.
- Ensure a memorable and positive experience for our guests and staff through keeping standards high, delivering standard operating policies and procedures and dealing with escalations when Supervisor and Manager are not present.
- Communicating in a clear and concise manner, including the use of radios.
- Providing guests with a 30‑minute guided tour experience covering topics such as geology, wildlife, glaciers, climate change and history in an engaging, clear and inspiring way.
- Storytelling, guest engagement and passion for this iconic location in the Canadian Rockies.
- Welcoming face of the Skywalk, creating meaningful and memorable experiences for every guest.
- Rotating through various interpretive stations, engaging groups guests with 10–15‑minute presentations.
- Talking to guests, anticipating guests’ needs, taking photos and ensuring safety on the Skywalk.
- Being proactive with maintenance issues and safety concerns, reporting to the Manager and Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Bringing new ideas on how to improve experiences for guests and staff.
- Daily operational tasks such as loading shuttle buses, providing audio tours, engaging with the kids’ programme, wayfinding and managing guest flow.
- Shared cleaning duties and maintaining a high level of cleanliness of the entire attraction and facilities.
- Assist Skywalk Manager and Supervisor with tasks in a timely and detailed manner.
- Other duties as assigned by your employer.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position!
- Strong communication skills and comfortable engaging with different sized groups.
- Experience with leading a team and working in hospitality, tourism, guiding or customer service is an asset.
- Energetic, charismatic and positive individual.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Proactive and always seeking out the next task.
- Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote outdoor environment.
- Able to work both independently and in a team‑based environment, leading by example and taking leadership initiative when required in a fast‑paced outdoor environment.
- Able to stand and work outside in varying mountain weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail, sun) for the entire duration of an 8‑hour shift.
- Must meet Pursuit grooming and appearance standards.
- To honor our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record check.
- Class 5 Canadian driver’s license (with clean abstract) required.
- Multi‑lingual skills are an asset.
- Standard First‑Aid or higher an asset.
The starting wage for this role is $19.00/hour.
