Job description
Site Supervisor

The Site Supervisor will have strong planning, leadership and problem‑solving skills and will be responsible for managing and coordinating all on‑site elements of projects, including health and safety for the job site.

Responsibilities
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction drawings, specifications and schedules for the ICI industry and pre‑engineered steel building systems.
  • Supervising, scheduling and coordinating workers, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment as required ensuring the project is completed on schedule and budget.
  • Liaise with project managers, designers, engineers, clients and governing authorities to achieve the scope of work.
  • Ordering materials and supplies.
  • Problem solve jobsite issues quickly and effectively in order to keep work on track and on time; manage and document job cost extras for review by the Project Manager.
  • Follow fiscal policy set by Management.
  • Conduct site meetings as required.
  • Provide daily site and weekly safety reports; conduct safety talks.
  • Ensure work is done in compliance with all OSHA and Regulations and all applicable health & safety policies and procedures.
Experience / Requirements
  • 4+ years' experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using power measuring tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Safety training – Provide all safety certificates; Abcott Construction will arrange for any mandatory training if required.
