Position Overview: Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting service operations? As a Service Coordinator at Finning, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our repair and maintenance processes run smoothly from start to finish. You’ll be the central point of coordination for Maintenance Customer Orders (MCOs), working closely with technicians, planners, and customers to deliver exceptional service. For this position, the expected hourly rate is between $28 and $30 per hour. This range reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation that aligns with industry standards and your qualifications. Job Description
  • Verify service request details, confirm credit approval, apply marketing programs, and review service history. Open MCOs and work orders, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Maintain accurate records in Case, WFE, and other systems to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
  • Assist Repair Planners and Service Supervisors during repair execution, ensuring real-time updates and process adherence.
  • Complete MCO adjustments, SG&A forms, warranty and goodwill documentation, and escalate risks as needed.
  • Schedule and participate in PRE, MID, and POST job meetings, capturing action items and updating commitment dates.
  • Arrange third-party contractor services, including documentation and procurement requests.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate, initiate closure activities, and support invoicing and warranty claim processes.
  • Proactively update internal and external stakeholders on job status and support inquiries related to service, warranty, and production.
  • Provide backup support to Planners and Controllers as needed, and participate in scheduling and SWIP meetings.
  • Review and approve daily labour hours from technicians to ensure service process alignment.
Qualifications
  • Secondary education with a focus on administrative management, business, or accounting/finance is an asset.
  • 2+ years of related experience, preferably within construction, oilfield, forestry, marine, or similar industries.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and service-related software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
Note
  • This position is based out of our Kamloops shop location.
  • Temporary, full-time role for 12 months with possibility for extension.
  • Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
