Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued in our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Guest Service Excellence: Provide a warm, friendly, and professional greeting to guests. Anticipate and respond to guest needs with a focus on hospitality and satisfaction.
- Menu Knowledge & Recommendations: Have a deep understanding of the menu, including detailed knowledge of ingredients, preparation techniques, and wine pairings. Guide guests through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations for food and drink.
- Order Taking & Accuracy: Accurately take guest orders and enter them into the POS system, ensuring that any special dietary requests or preferences are communicated to the kitchen.
- Food & Beverage Delivery: Deliver food and beverages promptly and with care, ensuring that each dish is presented beautifully and at the correct temperature.
- Attention to Detail: Check tables for cleanliness, set up correctly, and ensure that all items are in place. Maintain knowledge of daily specials, promotions, and events.
- Upkeep of Dining Area: Ensure that tables are set and reset properly between courses, maintaining an organized, clean, and inviting dining environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure efficient service. Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Guest Relations: Build rapport with guests, ensuring repeat visits. Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Payment Processing: Accurately process guest payments, handle cash, credit cards, and give correct change.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and cleanliness protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
- Experience with cash handling procedures in a restaurant setting.
- Strong hospitality skills, demonstrating a welcoming attitude towards guests.
- Ability to sanitize work areas effectively to maintain health standards.
- Understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations within the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods.
- Capability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
