Your Opportunity Stantec has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our expanding Water Resources team in Atlantic Canada. This role offers a great mix of challenge and opportunity, with the flexibility to choose your base location from our offices in Dartmouth, NS, Fredericton, NB, or St. John’s, NL. As part of our collaborative team, you will work on projects across the region, taking on key responsibilities as both a project manager and a team leader. You’ll contribute to the development of water resources through practical solutions and offer expert guidance on a range of important projects. As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will have the potential to lead projects involving hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, fish passage design, stream restoration, water quality analysis, mine site water management, flood hazard assessments, and much more. Your expertise will contribute to diverse initiatives that protect and enhance our most precious resource—water.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science, with specialized training in hydrology, hydrogeology, or water resources management
Preference for candidates with a Master’s or Doctorate-level degree in a related field, and those licensed with Engineers NS, Geoscientists NS, APEGNB or PEGNL
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
