Job Description

Description: Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the Senior Vessel Designer / Checker is an integral part of our drafting team.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D vessel models.
• Create accurate vessel detail drawings.
• Check and approve vendor-supplied vessel drawings.
• Carry out vessel checking as required.
• Mentor junior and intermediate vessel designers.
• Create and maintain vessel drawing standards.
• Create and maintain vessel standard drawings.
• Make recommendations for improved processes and efficiency.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in vessel design and fabrication.
• Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
• Strong knowledge of vessel fabrication processes.
• Strong knowledge of vessel design.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
