Overview

Senior Structural Engineer

Salary: £45k-£55k + monthly bonus
Location: Essex/London, IG9

This opportunity is suitable for an academically strong candidate with high aspirations aiming to achieve Chartership quickly (if not already achieved). You should have several years of buildings design experience, be able to supervise two graduate engineers, and manage your own projects.

The Director is MIStructE, MICE and an ICE Examiner. The firm has been operating for over 8 years, with expansion plans and additional office space. They offer a generous monthly bonus scheme in addition to basic salary.

The office is located near a Central Line station, with a dog-friendly environment and a supportive, social culture including an annual trip abroad.

The portfolio includes architecturally led private houses, large multi-storey developments, several tall towers, a new build hotel, rooftop apartments, and multi-storey RC frame commercial projects. Projects are often bespoke and may include international schemes.

The role suits someone interested in architecturally challenging projects and who is a good team player.

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied and challenging workload with opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise two graduate engineers and manage your own projects.
  • Contribute to a portfolio that includes architecturally led private houses, large multi-storey developments, tall towers, and other bespoke schemes.
  • Collaborate with a small, close-knit team and participate in the firm’s social and project delivery culture.

  • Strong academic background with the aim of achieving Chartership quickly (if not already achieved).
