About the job

This position is needed to lead and optimize Twilio’s hardware asset management for U.S.-based employees. As a Senior Strategic Asset Manager, you’ll develop and implement lifecycle strategies that ensure efficient procurement, tracking, and governance of end-user devices. This role partners cross-functionally to drive cost efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence—equipping employees with the tools they need, when they need them.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop and drive enterprise-wide asset management strategies and processes to optimize IT hardware lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive, real-time inventory of hardware assets and software licenses, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
  • Lead regular audits and compliance reviews to enforce policies, mitigate risks, and uphold licensing and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Vendor Management, and Finance to negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and align spend with budget and ROI targets.
  • Analyze asset utilization, performance, and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities, drive cost savings, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and guide team members while championing scalable asset management best practices to enhance operational maturity and continuous improvement.

*Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in strategic IT asset management within complex, global organizations, demonstrating mastery of best-in-class ITAM frameworks.
  • Deep expertise in IT asset lifecycle management including hardware procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, retirement, and software license compliance.
  • Proficient with leading ITAM tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Kandji, WorkspaceOne), with strong data analytics skills to optimize lifecycle, cost, and risk.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL best practices (incident, change, configuration management).
  • Extensive experience managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and supply chain logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective asset delivery.
  • Solid financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and ROI measurement for IT asset programs.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, sustainable asset management processes aligned with organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across IT, procurement, finance, and operations teams.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desired:

  • Proven track record leading enterprise-wide IT hardware asset management initiatives at scale (5,000+ employees).
  • Certifications such as Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), ITIL v4 Foundation (or higher), Lean Six Sigma, CompTIA Project+, or similar.
  • Expertise in engaging cross-functional stakeholders and influencing senior leadership to align asset management with broader business objectives.
  • Experience driving digital transformation within ITAM functions, including tool implementations and process automation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance impacting IT asset and supply chain management.
  • Multilingual skills (Spanish and/or Portuguese) are highly valued for supporting LATAM operations.

Location

This role will be remote,but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.

Travel

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 20% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

    *Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

    The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

    • Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $86000.00-$107,600.00.
    • Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $91000.00.00-$113,900.00
    • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $101,200.00- $126,500.00.
    • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

    The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
