Job Description Alteo is looking for a Senior SRE for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Your main role will be to ensure the smooth running and optimization of operations (electronic banking industry), by recommending the implementation of methodological and technical solutions, while ensuring compliance with processes and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Define procedures to ensure service performance
    • Study and analyze needs in terms of electronic payment operating platforms
    • Analyze operating constraints
    • Ensure the industrialization of production and implementation of the business resumption plan
    • Define and implement procedures
    • Ensure the drafting of qualification and patch testing procedures
  • Provide customer support to meet availability and reliability commitments
    • Handle and process requests and incidents
    • Define production release requirements
    • Manage relations between customers and service providers
    • Produce activity reports
    • Draw up maintenance action plans
    • Ensure the definition of service tasks: alarms, scheduling, backups and plan processing (Batch)
    • Contribute to committees with internal teams and/or customers (e.g. steering committee, production committee...)
  • Provide user support to ensure that reported anomalies are dealt with
    • Provide technical support to users (levels 2 and 3)
    • Ensure timely response to operating incidents (e.g. analysis, diagnosis and resolution)
    • Anticipate user needs and system upgrades
    • Guarantee technical documentation
    • Ensure the ongoing effectiveness of security systems
    • Monitor operating incidents, analyzing causes and taking corrective action.
  • Contribute to the development of colleagues' skills with the aim of improving collective performance
    • Provide guidance, support and back-up to team members
Profile
  • DEC/BAC in IT or equivalent
  • 5-8years' experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with the electronic payment industry (an important asset)
