Overview

Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing IoT space. They provide cloud‑based and AI‑driven solutions to help manufacturers monitor their industrial equipment, improve efficiency and predict and avoid downtime for maintenance. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to do full stack development but heavily focused on the backend so they need someone strong with Java, SQL and API development.

This will start off as a 6 month contract with the potential to go full time. The role requires someone onsite 1-2x per week in their Montreal office.

Job Title & Location

Senior Software Engineer (Java) – Montreal, QC (2x per week in the office)

Required Technology and Skills

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full stack engineering skillset, primarily leveraging Java
• Perform coding, debugging, and testing throughout the SDLC
• Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Hibernate, JSP, web services, and Tomcat
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing a small team of engineers is required
• Experience leading major technical projects while fully understanding the business side
• Experience with REST APIs and SQL
• Ability to enhance CI/CD pipelines and optimize development workflows

Nice to Have Skills

Hourly Rate/Compensation
