Position Summary :

Hallmark is seeking a Service Technician to assist our janitorial operations with service requests across our contract locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The Service Technician will report directly to the Executive Vice President. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all operations of the Toronto equipment service department
  • Performing equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring efficient completion of service requests
  • Managing shop inventory and sourcing parts from manufacturer/distributor partners
  • Responding to emergency service calls 24/7 and traveling across the GTA and surrounding areas
  • Managing maintenance records and costs using in-house service tracking software
  • Providing on-site staff support on equipment operation and safety
  • Training and supporting service technicians
  • Maintaining safe working conditions and adhering to occupational health & safety regulations
  • Communicating with Site Managers on service requests and providing status updates
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management

Salary : $36.00 per hour

Required Qualifications :

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; bilingual/multilingual skills (Spanish or Portuguese) are a plus
  • 5+ years of technical experience servicing janitorial equipment (e.g., Tennant, Nilfisk)
  • Certification by at least one OEM manufacturer
  • Post-secondary diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or similar
  • G-class driver’s license
  • Training and certifications on industry equipment (e.g., auto scrubbers) are assets
  • Proven leadership in training and mentoring junior technicians
  • Flexibility for 24/7 work hours, including weekends and holidays (if needed)
  • Experience in janitorial or service industry
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and travel to various locations
  • Customer service-oriented with a passion for teamwork
  • Proficient in service tracking software, MS Office, and Adobe
