Job description

Our client is a well-established multi-service law firm with a rich history of providing excellent client service. They are growing and currently seeking an experienced and strategic Real Estate Lawyer to join their thriving real estate practice group.

Your new role

In this position, you will oversee all aspects of the real estate practice, including managing a high volume of residential/commercial files, financing, purchase and sale agreements, and title reviews. Your responsibilities will include supervising and mentoring a dedicated team of Associates and law clerks, ensuring accurate handling of files. In this role you will also interact with clients, legal counsel, financial institutions, title insurance companies, and land registry offices to ensure the smooth execution of transactions.

What you will need to succeed

To be eligible for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of real estate experience and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of a Canadian jurisdiction. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, can effectively manage priorities, and consistently meets deadlines. Strong teamwork abilities, integrity, accountability, proactiveness, a positive work ethic, and excellent written communication skills are essential for success in this position. Prior leadership experience will be an added advantage to thrive in this role.
