Job Description

DOZR.com is the world's largest online equipment rental marketplace which combines price transparency, a comprehensive view of the market, and a seamless user experience for contractors and rental companies.

The DOZR.com marketplace is expanding fast, we are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer who’s passionate about designing and building high quality and reliable solutions. As an engineer on the Platform team you will work on building novel scalable solutions to bring the rental industry online and grow the marketplace. On any given feature, you will work closely with the product team on gathering requirements, implementing designs for a React Native application and shipping solutions to production. Meaning an end to end ownership of the process. You will also be the primary owner of the React Native based products at DOZR with responsibility to implement best practices and grow the service.

In a typical day, you will:

Work closely with design team on new product designs

Design React components and implement them

Work with existing API as well as drive new API development

Adhere to and modern software engineering practices

Adhere to unit test development and maintain a high unit test coverage

Successfully launch features and improve monitoring where required for features

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

Passion about problem solving and bringing a traditional industry into the digital world

Proven record of high quality software deliverability

Holistic thinking and robust system design skills ensuring reliability and scalability of solutions

Previous experience working with React Native, flutter, etc., Native mobile dev experience is a plus

Ability to collaborate and executing within a fast-paced engineering team with agile dev sprints

Flexibility to adapt quickly to new problems and learn new skills fast. We have a diverse microservices based architecture, and continuously encounter new and exciting engineering problems!

Experience with React Native, Typescript, NodeJS

Ability to conduct peer code reviews of fellow developers in the Full Stack Engineering team

Experience with testing and growing the system test suite

Desired Experience:

Exposure to building and scaling products in a fast paced environment

3+ years of experience working with React Native
