What is the opportunity?

Reporting into the Delivery Executive, this Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading end‑to‑end delivery by Zafin cross‑functional teams for our customers. This role leads projects and is responsible to prepare, manage, and execute plans, and ensures priorities in the strategic roadmap are well designed and governed to achieve desired results for Zafin’s customers.

You will bring sound experience in project management, with exceptional stakeholder engagement and critical thinking skills as well as ability to manage through complexity and ambiguity by creating a structured, but flexible approach to project delivery.

Job:

• Owning and managing the project assigned, to ensure smooth and quality delivery on time
• Plan, co‑ordinate, monitor and ensure the various activities required for the successful completion of the assigned project on schedule & within budget and manage the project team.
• Provides technical direction for the development, design and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation of projects.
• Managing technical risks throughout the project and balance technical requirements with conflicting customer needs. Navigate a technical solution which will work for all parties.
• Create and execute project plans for a successful and smooth delivery experience for Zafin’s customers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional virtual teams in planning and execution to deliver on objectives of relevant transformation programs and strategic projects.
• Drive governance meetings with stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Review activities on a cross‑functional basis to ensure dependencies are identified, tracked, and addressed and roadblocks removed.
• Develop project‑level reports and presentations to help facilitate leadership‑level discussions across the organization.
• Foster a ‘one team’ environment; influence and motivate teams with no direct authority over them and coach them through change.

Responsibilities:

• To develop and maintain the project plan
• To ensure communication management within the project. Convene team meetings and participate in reviews, walkthroughs etc as and when required.
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to project stakeholders and clients/ customers. Sets and manages client expectations. Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
• Keeps Program manager well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and Program manager.
• Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.
• Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
• Must be open to travel onsite as and when required.

Job Holder Profile:

• Proven ability in working across the organization, a self‑starter, who can deal with ambiguity, maintains focus, drives to clarity and provides innovative solutions with good written & oral communication skills.
• Experience of having worked in an onsite/offshore model
• Undergraduate degree with high academic achievement, in Business, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive, program‑related experience working in a fast‑paced and multiple stakeholder environment, preferably in Banking/ Financial vertical.
• Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principles of program management (waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
• Experience working with project management tools (MS Project, PowerPoint, or similar) and digital tools (i.e., JIRA or similar).
• Hands‑on experience with creating and delivering high quality, customer‑facing materials/deliverables.
• Team player with the ability to influence and achieve results through effective negotiation, problem‑solving.
• Excellent articulation, communication (written/verbal) and collaboration skills.
