Senior Project Engineer

This exciting role will be responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes to improve product functionality, cost-efficiency, and plant operations. A solid understanding of product development, facility layout, tooling, and equipment improvements will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Shawnee, OK area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of copper tubing products for the Industrial, Technical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Refrigeration markets. If you are an individual who loves to work on optimizing manufacturing processes and solving engineering problems, this role could be for you!

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage industrial engineering projects from concept to execution
  2. Perform engineering analysis, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance
  3. Improve plant layout, equipment use, and production flow
  4. Support cross-functional collaboration with product development, quality, and maintenance
  5. Research and apply new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  6. Evaluate vendors/subcontractors and support capital project planning
  7. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project performance throughout the lifecycle
  8. Prepare reports and records for project tracking and management updates
  9. Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards
  10. Provide hands-on support to manufacturing and quality teams
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.) is required
  • 7+ years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment is required
  • 7+ years of relevant process improvement and lean manufacturing experience are required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and scheduling tools
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings, manufacturing principles, CNC machines, tooling, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) is required
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on, collaborative leadership style in a fast-paced setting
  • PE license in Oklahoma is preferred but not required
Salary Range:
  • $80,000-110,000+ depending on experience.
