Overview

Infineon Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Product Application Engineer with broad knowledge and experience to perform product application and development on Gallium Nitride (GaN) Power Switches for automotive applications. The Product Application Engineer will be responsible for applying leading edge GaN technology in existing as well as new topologies, evaluating and documenting performance, authoring application notes and white papers, meeting with customers, and promoting the benefits of GaN devices in the power electronics industry. A highly technical, lab-oriented individual who can also meet with customers is sought. If interested apply today!

Responsibilities
  • Provide internal customer support including device selection, circuit design/troubleshooting, thermal/electrical and system solution analysis
  • Characterization of GaN discretes and modules to understand application-relevant static and dynamic electrical performance
  • Prepare technical collateral including application notes, technical papers and customer presentations
  • Experience with automotive power conversion systems, such as OBC, Inverter, HVDCDC is highly desired
  • Work with customers, product definition, and marketing to define the product roadmap and product enhancements
Your Profile
  • BSEE or MSEE, preferred with working experience in the semiconductor or power supply industries
  • Experience in semiconductor product applications and/or definition engineering, and customer support is highly desired
  • Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the organization from program management to IC design, marketing, FAE’s and sales to ensure companies success
  • Can effectively multi-task, manage priorities and solve technical problems independently
  • Self-motivated, self-learning, and a good team player
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written English

The wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate in Canada is:
Minimum of $74,880.00 salary per year / Maximum of $102,960.00 salary per year

In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
