Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Southwestern Ontario is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to lead and optimize engineering projects. You will develop mechanical engineering deliverables, ensure quality standards, and coordinate design teams. Candidates must have a relevant degree and at least 15 years of experience in minerals process plant design. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The role may require travel to various project sites.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of a range of processes and unit operations.
  • Ability to manage studies and small site projects.

Job Location

Lead and optimise process engineering projects, develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical engineering deliverables including package engineering, calculations and plant design
  • Provide project review of mechanical deliverables
  • Coordinate designs and drafts people
  • Review progress and schedule
  • Adhere to all CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures and quality management requirements
Education and Experience
  • Industry related higher education degree
  • Significant (>
  • 15years) minerals process plant design experience
  • Knowledge of a range of processes and unit operations
  • Engineering delivery experience
  • Work in team environment. Allocate work to others and monitor progress thereof
Skills and Abilities
  • High level communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment
  • Ability to produce study estimates
  • Ability to manage studies and small site projects, including variation management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow up
  • Knowledge of databases and version control
  • Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Extensive industry contacts and ability to win confidence of Clients through business development
  • Willingness to travel if required
