Job description

Our client is a well‑respected premier personal injury law firm located in North York. As part of their expansion efforts, they are seeking an ambitious senior personal injury lawyer to manage numerous cases through the litigation process, both autonomously and collaboratively as part of the team.

Your new role

In this newly assigned position, you will undertake the drafting of a diverse array of documents, encompassing facta, opinion letters, settlement conference memoranda, pleadings, and various applications. Your role will also entail active participation in legal proceedings such as examinations for discovery, case conferences, mediations, IBC and other insurance conferences, motions, appeals, pre‑trial conferences, trials, mediations/arbitrations, and other hearings at the LAT, among others.

Additionally, you will be involved in all facets of case management, including conducting liability, financial, and medical investigations. Providing guidance and support to clients throughout the entirety of the claims process will also be an integral part of your responsibilities.

What you will need to succeed

For consideration for this role, applicants must possess a minimum of 6+ years of post‑call experience, showcasing expertise and enthusiasm for personal injury law. The ability to thrive under pressure, effectively manage priorities, and meet deadlines is essential. Moreover, candidates should exhibit strong teamwork capabilities, along with traits of trustworthiness, accountability, proactivity, and a positive work ethic. Additionally, holding membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario is required.
