About the Role

The GIS Sales Professional – Canadian Federal Government is responsible for driving sales of DXC’s GIS services into federal agencies across Canada. This role requires a strong understanding of public‑sector procurement, federal IT modernization priorities, and the ability to position DXC offerings that align with mission, compliance, and security needs.

The successful candidate will generate demand, develop account strategies, build trusted‑advisor relationships within federal departments, and lead complex sales cycles from qualification through close.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to position DXC’s GIS solutions across Canadian Federal Government agencies.
  • Build and nurture long‑term client relationships within federal departments, acting as a trusted advisor who understands mission challenges and regulatory obligations.
  • Lead the qualification, pursuit, and closing of complex, multi‑stakeholder sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, solutioning, proposal, legal, and partner teams to ensure aligned, competitive solutions for federal customers.
  • Identify and drive upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within assigned agencies.
  • Maintain deep understanding of DXC’s GIS offerings—including cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and analytics solutions—and how they map to federal requirements (security, sovereignty, compliance).
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, business cases, and RFP responses tailored to the Canadian Federal Government.
  • Monitor market conditions, account dynamics, and federal digital‑transformation initiatives to refine sales strategies.
  • Represent DXC at government‑focused industry events, conferences, and procurement forums.
  • Mentor less‑experienced team members and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performance sales environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT services or software sales, with 3+ years selling into public-sector or federal government environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading account strategies, achieving revenue targets, and managing complex federal‑sector sales cycles.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Knowledge of federal procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and vendor engagement practices.
  • Continuous learner who stays current on government digital‑transformation priorities, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Other Qualifications
  • Experience working with Canadian Federal Government accounts is highly desirable.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant field is an asset.
  • Certifications such as Certified Account Manager (CAM) or Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM) are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global matrixed environment.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
