Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Java Developer to join our team on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension based on budget and project needs. This is a critical role as we are working against tight deadlines for a top client. You will be responsible for building new features within an existing program, learning our codebase quickly, and contributing to both backend and frontend development.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java development, experience with GWT, and strong skills in modern front-end technologies such as TypeScript. You will also work on dashboarding features and EV-related functionality, including a pilot project to track home electricity usage for EV rebate programs.

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications within an existing codebase.
• Collaborate with product teams and clients to define and implement technical solutions.
• Build new features and optimize application performance for scalability.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Contribute to front-end development using TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Oversee development of specific features, including client discussions and product team meetings.

Skills and Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Full-stack capability: 50% backend (Java/GWT) and 50% frontend (TypeScript). Experience with Vert.X.
• Experience with TypeScript and front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with EV-related applications and energy data.
