- Shift/Hours: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7 am–7 pm and 7 pm–7 am), 7 days a week
- Pay Range: C$40 – C$55/hour
Job Summary
The Senior IT Operations Analyst – NOC Shift Leader plays a critical leadership role within the Network Operations Support Group at one of Canada's top banks. This hands-on position is responsible for managing shift deliverables, leading real-time operational support for enterprise network infrastructure, and ensuring adherence to service continuity procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shift operations and provide technical oversight for all in-shift deliverables
- Act as the primary point of contact during the shift for escalations and delivery execution
- Ensure proper use of automation, quality ticketing, handover notes, and escalation procedures
- Manage incident queue, prioritize based on service impact, and participate in P2 and incident calls
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for timely resolution of network issues
- Collaborate with other shift leaders and managers to report performance and incident trends
- Track chronic, repeat, and aging incidents, and escalate appropriately
- Develop and peer review MoPs and technical documentation for training and operational use
- Identify automation opportunities and optimize alert and process noise
- Provide input on staff performance, training needs, and process improvements
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in network operations or production support environments
- Strong CISCO product expertise and hands-on troubleshooting
- Proven team leadership in 24/7 operations environments
- CCNP certification (minimum)
- Experience managing incidents, escalations, and vendor coordination
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have Experience
- CCIE certification
- Experience with monitoring tools: SevOne, NetBrain, Infoblox, ExtraHop, ThousandEyes
- Background working with large enterprise networks in banking or financial sectors
- Familiarity with load balancers, firewalls, wireless networks, and optical solutions
- Experience supporting global network operations
