A leading financial services company in Peel Region, Mississauga is looking for a Full Stack Developer to analyze, design, and develop applications using Java, UI frameworks, and microservices. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of relevant experience and expertise in Java application development. This is a full-time position offering a salary range of $120,800 to $170,800 annually, plus opportunities for professional growth.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, Design and develop applications using Java, UI Frameworks, Microservices and relational database as full stack developer
  • Develop UI components, screens using the UI technologies such as Angular, React, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS
  • Design and develop scalable services using Java, Springboot, Kafka, Oracle
  • Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
  • Manage and remediate Vulnerabilities, Code Quality issues (Sonar) and write test cases (Junit, Cucumber)
  • Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
  • Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level programmer analysts
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
  • 5+ years in Java application development using Spring framework
  • 3+ years in Building applications with microservices, Kafka
  • 5+ years experience with RDBMS, Spring data, Hibernate
  • 3+ years experience with UI technologies, DevOps tools
  • Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
