Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing critical financial insights, forecasting, and analysis to support business decisions and operational strategies. This individual will partner closely with operations, project management, and senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and enhance profitability across projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Partner with operations and project managers to provide project-level financial insights, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and profitability tracking.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic planning and business growth.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis and monitor working capital to optimize company liquidity.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with preparation of management reporting, board presentations, and KPI dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and implement financial best practices.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA considered an asset).
  • 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, ideally within the construction, real estate, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Viewpoint, Sage, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to connect financial insights to operational performance.
