A leading insurance provider seeks an Auto Damage Estimator in Bedford, Nova Scotia. You will validate damages, create estimates, and negotiate settlements while ensuring compliance with policies. Accountabilities:
  • Reviewing damage photos & claim file loss details to validate damages are loss related
  • Create a loss damage estimate that accurately represents known damages
  • Explain the repair estimate to the client and negotiate a settlement
  • Explain the rental process
  • Ensure the delivery of individual results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity timeliness, productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Provide on the job training and feedback for team members as requested by manager
  • Recommend and implement changes and or enhancements to claim policies, Best Practices, procedures and continuous improvement
  • Support effective partnerships with agents and brokers
  • Ensure compliance with overall ACG, and regulatory, legal and ethical policies and requirements, including but not limited to Sarbanes Oxley, Privacy, Security and governance, to ensure adequate mitigation of risks
  • Attend industry seminars relative to automotive repair
  • Provide ongoing technical advice and guidance to Claim Assistants and Claim Advisors
  • Make claim decisions that fall within the scope of the Claims Best Practice and within personal authority level
Qualifications:
  • Minimum University degree/College diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Provincial adjuster's licensing and bilingual language fluency (English/French) preferred
  • Technical Diploma or equivalent training in auto body repair
  • Experience in estimating vehicles using ADP or Mitchell systems
  • Minimum 1-3 years auto damage estimating experience
  • Must be I-CAR Platinum or currently working on attaining this designation
  • Willing to enroll in CIP designation

Compensation

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 59,520.00 - 97,185.00 annually. Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.
