Senior DevOps Infrastructure Engineer, Research & Development

We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to join the DevOps Team. This position is based in Pune, India and will be offered in a hybrid work model. The role provides flexibility to balance in-office collaboration with remote working, enable employees to contribute effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will design and implement DevOps tools and processes across multiple cloud and on-premises infrastructure. A track record of approaching challenges innovatively along with strong interpersonal skills are critical success factors for this role. Candidates must be able to “get in the trenches” to work collaboratively with colleagues in a matrixed environment to drive all aspects of this activity.

Job Responsibilities

• Systems Administration: A strong understanding of systems administration is essential for managing server and network infrastructures
• Troubleshooting: The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues is crucial in resolving system problems
• Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, such as Linux and Windows Server, is necessary for managing and maintaining server environments
• Networking: Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies is important for managing and configuring network infrastructures
• Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, can be beneficial for automating tasks and improving efficiency
• Hardware: Understanding hardware components and their configurations is important for managing and maintaining server hardware, virtualization on cloud and VMWare technologies
• Hands on expertise in Infrastructure as Code is a must
• Security: Knowledge of security principles and best practices is necessary for implementing and maintaining secure network environments
• Ability to automate and speed up build, deployment process and release process using scripting languages like Perl, shell, PowerShell and Python
• Experience in working with dynamic virtual and cloud environment (Public and Private clouds)
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application deployment, infrastructure, and networking
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing and quality assurance processes into CI / CD pipelines
• Implement and maintain security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and software development methodologies
• Knowledge and clear understanding of Windows and Unix / Linux administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4-7 years of relevant experience working in a DevOps role or similar capacity
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Coordinate and work with teams that are spread across the globe
• Good & Effective Communication Skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently while tackling complex problems
• Ability to learn and work with cutting edge technologies
• Perl / Python / Shell / Batch / Powershell Coding Experience
• Hands on experience working on C, C++ Technologies and proficient in make files
