Job summary

A leading foodservice company in Canada is seeking a Senior Controller to manage the site finance team and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in Accounting, an accounting designation, and at least 5 years of financial accounting experience. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are a must, along with the ability to support senior management and drive financial success. Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.

  • Manage site finance team through full cycle accounting processes.
  • Provide accounting and financial analysis to ensure accurate financial statements.
  • Ensure all financial-related contractual obligations for clients are achieved.
  • Review all clients reporting/invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Support Operations Management and Sr. Management.

We’re looking for a Senior Controller

Now, if you were to come on board as our Senior Controller, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Manage site finance team through full cycle accounting processes
  • Provide accounting and financial analysis to ensure accurate financial statements within specific deadlines
  • Ensure all financial-related contractual obligations for clients are being achieved
  • Review all clients reporting/invoices accurately and promptly
  • Review balance sheet analysis
  • Answer queries for and support Operations Management and Sr. Management
  • Address queries from internal and external auditors and the client
  • Ensure operations adheres to company policies

  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Accounting
  • Accounting Designation or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years Financial Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment, both in the office and with Operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred
