The Technology Risk Consulting services team is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team in Toronto. The practice provides a variety of services for our clients. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding enterprise applications including Workday HCM and Finance, and other critical business platforms. You will help drive efforts to secure environments, improve security testing and governance, risk, and compliance. This role demands a proactive person who can design, implement, and test robust security configurations and access controls, specifically in Workday, to meet unique client security requirements.

What you will do
  • Support and lead client engagements to implement Workday security, ensuring that deliverables meet the standards and requirements agreed by the client.
  • Support and lead business process controls, including requirements gathering, controls design, integration testing, and problem resolution.
  • Review new and existing systems for adequacy of controls, security, operational considerations, and project management.
  • Evaluate inherent and residual risks based on automated controls in Workday environments.
  • Provide security advisory services, including implementation of Workday controls and risk consulting practice development.
  • Simultaneously deliver multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business resilience and information protection initiatives.
What you bring to the role
  • University degree in Business or Computer Science.
  • Certified in Workday Finance or HCM or any other Workday certifications.
  • 3‑5 years of relevant experience in security and advisory of Workday systems and processes.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security and business process controls.
  • Experience in security and controls assessment including segregation of duties assessments.
  • Knowledge of Workday HCM and Finance processes and understanding of automated business process controls.
  • Experience within a medium‑large consulting practice is an asset.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Workday implementation project management.
  • Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to effectively express insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of business and audit risks.
  • High degree of personal confidence, enthusiasm and drive. Willingness and ability to travel both within Canada and internationally.
