Job description

VALUES & COMPETENCIES

• Managing a book of business for mid to complex accounts
• Compiling renewal information, negotiating renewal terms, and preparing all aspects of renewals
• Comparing quote options from multiple carriers and presenting coverage comparisons as needed
• Ensuring renewals are completed 60 days in advance
• Reviewing policies to identify coverage gaps and making recommendations based on clients’ operations, exposures, and needs
• Maintaining clear documentation in agency management systems, including policy details, activities, attachments, and spreadsheets
• Assisting in negotiating renewal terms and developing growth opportunities
• Understanding how actions can affect relationships with customers, carriers, and coworkers
• Participating in scheduled team meetings to discuss accounts, renewals, and service needs
• Engaging in seminars, classes, and webinars for skill and knowledge development

Knowledge of Epic is an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of related experience in the insurance industry with a strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products
• Minimum of RIBO certification

Additional qualifications such as CIP, CAIB, or progress toward these designations are considered assets.
