A leading gaming company in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Character Artist to create top-notch character models for upcoming titles. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in the industry, expert skills in tools such as Maya and ZBrush, and a strong understanding of human anatomy. EA Create Characters, the multifaceted team mostly based between Orlando, Florida and Vancouver, Canada is best known for creating amazing work in titles such as Battlefield, Dragon Age, Dead Space, and Need for Speed, Star Wars, UFC, FC to name a few; and we're looking for a Character Artist to work on upcoming titles.
As a Character Artist, you guide the entire creation process of characters. This will include working with scan data and photos to create the neutral head, blendshapes, body and costumes for in game use. You will work with off the shelf tools along with in-house production tools to create art across multiple teams within EA. You will work directly with the Lead Character Artist, the Character Art Director and Animation Director to ensure content is meeting the quality bar.
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
