A leading food manufacturing company in Metro Vancouver is seeking a reliable Security Guard. The role involves ensuring safety and security through active patrolling and monitoring surveillance systems. Applicants must have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations. A commitment to company safety policies is essential. This position requires working weekends with an occasional weekday shift. Those with CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.
The security’s primary role is to secure the premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points. The security guard is responsible for ensuring only authorized persons access the premises and checking in guests. The security guard will coordinate with management and local law enforcement, when needed.
Saturday and Sunday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with occasional weekday shifts as needed for peer coverage
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
