The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Security and Middleware Specialist to join our enterprise team. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in IBM middleware technologies and a passion for delivering secure, scalable, and high‑performing solutions in a team‑oriented environment.

As a Security and Middleware Specialist, you will lead the design, deployment, and support of critical middleware platforms including IBM Security Verify Access, IBM Security Directory Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and IBM DataPower. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise applications across development, testing, and production environments. This role also includes managing digital certificates, enforcing security compliance, and providing 24 x 7 on‑call support.

As a trusted technical leader, you’ll take ownership of the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of key middleware and security platforms, including:

• IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA) / IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) – including WebSEAL, ACLs, SAML, and OIDC federation
• IBM Security Directory Server (LDAP) – managing password policies, DNs, and group structures
• Imperva WAF – deploy, configure, and maintain Imperva WAF gateways and security policies across test and production environments
• IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) – deploying and tuning enterprise‑grade Java applications
• IBM DataPower Gateways – securing APIs and web services with advanced policy enforcement

You’ll also:

• Lead digital certificate lifecycle management and encryption compliance
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless deployments
• Troubleshoot complex issues across environments (DIT, SIT, UAT, PROD)
• Participate in incident response and security hardening initiatives
• Provide 24x7 on‑call support on a rotational basis

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with IBM Security Verify Access (ISVA) or ISAM
• Deep knowledge of SAML 2.0, OIDC, and web application security (OWASP Top 10)
• Strong background in IBM Directory Server, DataPower, and WebSphere
• Experience with digital certificates, TLS, REST/SOAP, and AAA policies
• Familiarity with WAFs (Imperva, F5, Fortinet) and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, Java)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)
• A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in French (preferred but not required) and in English
