Job summary

A leading security services company in Toronto seeks a Security Officer to manage emergency responses, monitor facilities, and provide customer service. Job description

Position Overview

Wages: $18.00/hr+ (depending on site)

Shift timings: Varies (Days, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends. Preference for those who can work different types of shifts)

Responsibilities

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.

• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.

• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.

• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.

• Assist with coverages at various sites to enhance security at strategic locations.

• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.

• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.

• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate

• G or G2 class drivers\' licence is required. Vehicle is required to travel to the sites.

• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent customer service experience.

• Effective communication skills.

• Able to drive to different parts of the GTA
