Qualifications

• Proven experience as carpenter.

• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Good understanding of basic math.
• Good physical condition and endurance.
• High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required.

Responsibilities

• Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using various materials.
• Fits and installs window frames, doors, and interior trim.
• Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembly.
• Studies specifications in blueprints to determine project layout.
• Shapes materials using hand tools and power saws.
• Follows safety rules and maintains a clean environment.
• Builds or repairs cabinets and wooden fixtures.
• Assembles and fastens materials using handtools.
• Removes damaged parts and performs repairs.
• Inspects structures for damages.
• Moves materials around the jobsite as assigned.
