Job description
Overview

Riverside School Board is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Temporary with possibility of extension School Organization and Transportation Coordinator. This role is essential in aligning operational services with the board’s strategic direction and ensuring smooth coordination across departments and schools.

Reporting to the Assistant Director General, as School Organization and Transportation Coordinator, you will oversee student transportation, support health and safety initiatives, manage rental policies, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders. You’ll work closely with school principals, administrative staff, and other departments, providing guidance on organizational matters and contributing to strategic planning and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and optimize student transportation services, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Material Resources, Human Resources, and Educational Services to align operational initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Prepare internal reports and analyze data to support decision-making, including student enrolment, building capacity, and zoning.
  • Lead and support operational projects from initiation to completion, including developing plans, timelines, and performance indicators.
  • Administer and update the board’s rental policy, coordinate rental agreements with community partners, and manage documentation and invoicing.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety protocols, ensuring alignment with CNESST standards and supporting safe environments in schools and centers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, project management, or a related field, or holding a senior staff position in a school service center for which an undergraduate degree is required under the minimum qualifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in operations, logistics, or coordination roles.
  • Strong project management skills; (PMP certification is an asset).
  • Knowledge of Quebec’s education system and public sector operations is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both oral and written.
Salary

Salary: Class 6 – $87 876 to $117 164 in accordance with the current salary scale established following the signing of the management personnel agreement.
