Responsibilities
  • Increase sales through greater penetration within existing accounts, while also prospecting and building business with new accounts
  • Demonstrates outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts
  • Work with manufacturers' representatives to sell promoted items
  • Attend sales meetings and meet with sales manager on a regular basis
  • Manage Accounts Receivables successfully
  • Communicate and cooperate in a productive manner with all departments
  • Utilize all appropriate VIP sales techniques and methodologies
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business a plus
  • Previous selling experience in a paper, packaging, janitorial/sanitation or food service distribution industry preferred
  • Requires outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties
  • Required to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • The position requires outstanding analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills
  • Must be able to utilize acceptable mathematical skills
  • Demonstrate a friendly and professional appearance
  • Requires ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience with IBM AS400 operating system highly desired
