Sales Representative - Canada

Are you a Sales Representative with a background in electrical or electronic technology?

Do you have 3+ years' experience selling mining technology products?

Our client is a leading supplier of communication systems to the underground mining industry. Their aim is to provide underground mines with effective remote communication systems to increase safety and productivity. This role will be based in Canada, with the Headquarters being located in Sudbury, Ontario.

Due to expansion over the past year, our client is seeking a Sales Representative to join their growing team, providing technical sales and support to their assigned client base. This role will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with clients, as well as coordinating and attending tradeshow requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Providing presentations in person or virtually to both clients and vendors.
  • Making new industry contacts, reviewing their operations, and identifying solutions or synergies.
  • Meeting and exceeding annual sales targets.
  • Providing feedback to the design team on customer problems, needs, and possible improvements.
  • Keeping up to date on new developments in allocated territories.
  • Tending to occasional emergency calls by clients with downed systems who require immediate assistance.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an educational background in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Have 3+ years technical sales/business development experience.
  • Have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft office.
  • Experience selling mining technology an advantage.
