Job description

A leading manufacturer of high-quality cabinet components supplying residential and commercial clients is looking for a Sales Consultant – Cabinet Component Manufacturing to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales in the cabinet industry. This position requires an individual with strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to build long-term relationships with clients.

Responsibilities include;

  • Generate new sales and business opportunities within the BC cabinetry market.
  • Conduct in-person sales meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to a wide variety of stakeholders from builders to manufacturers, designers and contractors.
  • Prepare and submit competitive quotes and proposals to clients, negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to secure sales.
  • Maintain contact with existing and new customers to ensure customer satisfaction and develop repeat sales.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide feedback to management to help develop new sales strategies.
  • Provide post sales support, respond to customer inquiries and provide solutions as required.
  • Develop and maintain sales activity reports/forecasts, customer contacts and sales leads.

To be successful you will have the following Qualifications;

  • A minimum of 3 years’ proven sales experience, preferably within cabinet manufacturing or custom millwork or other wood component manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry, woodworking or related products is required.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills including ability to deliver sales presentations.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and sales opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Requires frequent travel to various client sites, trade shows, and other industry events.
  • Education in Sales/Marketing or relevant field is a valued asset
  • Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
