Job Description

The Safety Data Analyst in the Process Safety & Services team assists the organization in leveraging data to drive informed decisions that enhance workplace safety and risk management. They are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets from various sources, evaluating technical requirements to build PowerApp solutions, and proposing and executing streamlining efforts in the data collection space. The goal of this role is to identify trends, patterns, technical opportunities, and insights that inform the development and refinement of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.

Day-to-Day Activities
  • Project manage PowerApp build requests
  • Develop solutions in the Power Platform space (PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate)
  • Build predictive models to anticipate potential hazards
  • Conduct statistical analysis on the root causes of incidents
  • Query databases to track safety KPIs
  • Present findings to cross-functional stakeholders including operations, projects, STS, and senior leadership
  • Perform reporting tasks related to monthly reporting
Responsibilities
  • Creation of PowerApp tools and applications
  • Develop and maintain the Safety Performance AI build roadmap
  • Safety reporting (internal, external, country-wide)
  • Manage Safety Classification and Learning Model (SCL) classifications and events
  • Develop and maintain Safety PowerBI dashboards
  • Support optimization of data collection through market research and development of new tools
  • Maintain tools for data collection and analysis
  • Manage and control the EHS software platform(s) (Enablon, EHSM)
  • Collect, govern, and validate all safety-related data (incidents, investigations, corrective actions, exposure, etc.)
  • Control and distribute safety alerts, bulletins, and safety data communications
  • Trend and analyze safety data (e.g., identification of incidents involving specific equipment, common themes over time periods)
  • Track and report internal and external safety metrics
  • Provide analytical support and recommendations for safety performance metrics
