Qualifications

• Sound knowledge in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing including activation and nursing administration.
• Knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act and related health statutes.
• A current Certificate of Competence and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies and procedures on the unit in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
• Liaise with healthcare team members and notify physicians of changes in resident status.
• Ensure residents’ care needs are met and provide direction to Support Workers.
